Going to work at Hyves
Starting on September 1st, I will be working at Hyves in Amsterdam as a Junior Core Developer. There, I will be working on the Hyves web site and all applications on mobile and desktop platforms. Quite a shift from my current internship as an Interaction Designer, but I felt I was missing web development too much.
I am looking forward to starting with my new job! Hyves.nl is one of the biggest web sites in the Netherlands, and has an enormous amount of traffic, leading to all kinds of interesting scalability issues. Furthermore, I will be working with some of the most talented developers in the Netherlands.
In the mean time, I still have to finish up my thesis on the influence of loading delays on the conversion of online forms at ABN AMRO. It is coming along pretty nicely, but there is still work to be done. With my new job on the horizon, my thesis must be finished by the end of August.
