Importing contacts from Gmail and Windows live mail

For iWink I have written a short article about importing contacts or email addresses from online address books, such as Gmail’s address book and Windows Live Contacts. Both offer similar functionality. The most important thing is that users are not required to hand over their login details to an untrusted web site. The article is not very technical, but explains how the process works:

De gebruiker hoeft zijn wachtwoorden niet op uw website in te vullen, maar wordt naar zijn eigen webmailaanbieder gestuurd en vult daar zijn wachtwoord pas in. Op deze manier weet de gebruiker dat zijn wachtwoord geheim blijft.

De gegevens worden op een veilige manier tussen de adresboeken en het iWink Webbeheer uitgewisseld.
